Formally responsible for the design and approval of yellow box junctions on the Transport for London road network. He is now the UK's foremost expert on yellow box junction design and has written on the topic for the RAC and appeared in national media on the issue.

Pioneered the removal of centre lines on main roads in London in conjunction with resurfacing, achieving significant reductions in vehicle speeds and international press coverage.
